Re: If I were to have kids tomorrow...
The girl would be named Lily for sure. It has been my favorite name since forever and I love the meaning and everything about it. It is really important to me. If my partner wouldn't like it it would be hard for me :P I think I could compromise on Lilia and call her Lily because I like that too.As for the middle name I think I would let my partner choose that one and if he came from another country (which is very likely because I live in an international environment) I would like it to be something to reflect his culture. I like Lily Mihrimah at the moment because I am reading about the Ottoman empire ;)As for the boy, I have no idea :O I usually like only very few boys names and never enough to actually use. At the moment I kind of like Jonah, Gabriel and Carlo. But really I have no idea.Nashville - I don't like it but if you do you should go for it! If you were to raise her in the city it would still be fine. It is just a middle name. Almost anything goes, in my opinion. If it has meaning to you that is great.
about the surname - I usually like it when first and surname begin with the same letter, but when the surname is also a word it can sometimes sound comical. So Matilda Mustard isn't my favorite combo. But if you love Matilda that shouldn't matter. As for Matilda Nashville Mustard...yeah, it is a bit funny. I mean if it is really very important to you I think it is still usable. But maybe there is another way to honor the city? I don't know so much about Nashville but maybe there is a certain flower or tree symbolic to it or the name or a river or part of the city would make a good name?
initials - I would want to avoid something like M.N.M, I mean I don't think it's an advantage. But also not a disadvantage it just wouldn't bother me much but I don't see it as something great ;)

Hey, thanks for taking the time to respond! Lily is a great name! It's one I've always liked. And to use it as a nickname would be a nice compromise too, if needed. I love the name Carlo! Yeah, the general feel of the comments seems to be that having Nashville and Mustard in one name is a little too much. The river than runs through Nashville is the Cumberland, which I couldn't really see as a middle name. Plus it's a pretty dirty river lol. But I'll keep playing with it and see what I can find. Maybe Nash or something. Good point on the initials. I had a friend in high school named Meg and her initials were MEG and I always thought that was cool and always wanted my initials to spell something, but they didn't. I guess I figure if I have 2/3 initials to mean something, why not do it? I like that point of it not being an advantage or a disadvantage. I'll keep playing with that too! Thanks so much!
