Do you like Harold?
I really think the name Harold is nice. I think it could be revived again. It has a classic charm, and a light sound. What are your thoughts on it?

I don't. I understand why people do, Harry is fine as a nickname but I don't think it ages well. Hank as a nickname isn't my jam. I have met too many Harold's that I don't like as people and it has definitely soiled the name for me. I also relate it to names like Ronald, Donald, Oswald, and most of them feel very dated to me.

It's OK to me. I'm not too keen on boy names anyway, but if i had a baby and he looked like an elderly gentleman, I might be inclined to name him Harold.

I met someone with a kid named Walter the other day and thought is was adorable. Harold's in the same group. It is kind of stuffy, though.

I like it. I think it's distinguished. Plus, there's always the nickname Harry to liven it up.

Hi !!!I'm quite neutral towards it.I much prefer other similar names: Egbert, Edwin, Gerard, Howard, Stuart ...

It's not hideous, but I don't see it as being revived any time soon. It's not as dorky as Melvin or Marvin, but it's kinda hapless.

I do like it. It was my grandfather's name, but I think I might like it even without the association.

I can't say that I do like it. The -old ending doesn't make it sound light at all to me, and I really don't like the nn Harry that might be inevitable.

It's perpetually an old man name to me. I prefer Henry or Harry.

Henry is an awesome petname for that!

I love Harold, but my SO vetoed it. Something about it just sounds so charming. I imagine a little boy wearing a bowtie and suspenders.
