I love the name Sadie, it’s beautiful. My name is Sarah, so I did think about using Sadie as a mn for our DD, but decided not to. Hopefully one day I have a granddaughter named Sadie! ;) Of your combos I love Sadie Elowen, Sadie Meadow, Sadie Juniper and Sadie Willow.

Doesn't happen where I live. Here, Sara and Sarah shorten to Sarie (SAHri). Serah doesn't happen either, though an Afrikaans person speaking English would typically pronounce Sarah as Serah.I'm with Manipura - the only form of Sarah I like is Sally. My dad wanted me to be Sarah Anne after his mother, and I'm very glad it didn't happen. I could see myself as Sally all right.

I see it as a dog name only or on random hipster-ish kids? But the trend has already left the building.Of the combos Sadie Willow, Sadie Meadow and Sadie Hart are the most hippy in vibe. Sadie Juniper also, but the flow caught my eye and it’s kind of spunky (my favourite of the list). Sadie Elowen is pretty enough.I like Sarai and Sariah.

I hate it. It's always reminded me of an old shabbily dressed woman shuffling out to her mailbox wearing oversized shoes that flap around, and a dull brown coat even though it's a warm day, and holding a ratty umbrella to protect herself from the sun.

I used to hate it... I mean, HATE it.
But then I met the most adorable baby girl with the name. She was chubby cheeked, bright blue eyes, always smiling and laughing, and it totally turned me around. Then I had two friends within about, a year, name their baby girls Sadie. I never would have thought I would like it, but I really do. I think it’s spunky and sweet and cute. Of your combos, my favorite is Sadie Gabrielle. I like the longer middle name with it, and love Gabrielle. If I had another daughter after mine, I’d have used Gabrielle in a heartbeat. My suggestions (I feel like I always suggest the same names because I love them)Sadie Victoria
Sadie Vivienne
Sadie Abigail
Sadie Natalia
Sadie Celeste

I feel like it's trying hard to be down-home. I'd rather see Sally.

Nowadays I don't think most people associate Sadie with Sarah, the same way they don't associate Molly and Polly with Mary. To me, Sadie kind of sounds like someone who is friendly but not smart.Sadie Meadow is my favorite of those, it's got a cute happy hippie feel.
Sadie Madeline, Sadie Juniper, and Sadie Gabrielle also work well.
