Monroe (on a boy only)
WDYT? I think it's sweet on a boy. I'm not much of a fan on a girl. Mariah Carey named her daughter Monroe in 2010 after late actress Marilyn Monroe.
Any combos?

Due to the strong association, I don’t like this name on a boy or a girl.

I prefer the spelling Munro for a boy.

I like it. I prefer it on a girl but can see it on a boy, too.

Probably because of Marilyn Monroe, I associate it with more feminine vibes. I dislike it for either gender, though. It's too tied to her and as a surname. I'm not good at making combos on the fly but I feel like it'd benefit from a longer, sturdy name. Something like Monroe Josephine or Monroe Benjamin.

I like it! My sweet nephew is Wyatt Monroe, which i think is a super cute combo!

I like this name on boys and girls. I tend not to have a gender preference for surname names, and the ending "o" sound feels fairly androgynous. Love the Marilyn association and the nickname Mo/Moe.

I've never thought about Monroe before but it is kind of sweet for a boy. I like that it's different.

I love it and would use it as a middle name if I had enough sons (there are several other names higher up on my list), it was one of my great great grandfathers names.
I hate one girls, it not the least bit feminine.
