A family name on both sides, but it's taken me a long time to warm up to it. Now I like it, and I think the fact that names don't automatically get shortened or nicknamed is helping me there: Flo, Florrie and Flossie are uniformly dire, but Florence itself is lovely, light and elegant.

Nice. I like Florence and Flora.

I think Florence is going to become huge. It's beautiful but it has substance. I slightly prefer Flora.

I love it! It definitely reads as soft, and floral adjacent, but I also think of Florence Pugh and a badass character I like, so it has some flavour to it.

Love it, but prefer other versions. Florencia, Florent and Florença.

Love it, it's on my short list. Florence Irene, maybe?

Beautiful name, beautiful meaning, and a beautiful place. All in all just gorgeous. It makes me think of a blooming flower in May. Feminine, classic, and sophisticated. I like the French pronounciation for boys though. Anything else sounds a bit odd on a male.I think it would be absolutely gorgeous as Florence Lililan, Florence Katherine, Florence Caroline, Florence Ségolène, or Florence Vivienne.

Don't like it at all

It sounds too frilly and old for me. It's a name I think I could eventually get on board with, but I'm not quite there.
