Olivia
What do you think of Olivia? It's so common now. I hate it. I can taste it.

It certainly isn't my favorite but I think there are much worse that are just as popular (in my opinion at least). Violet, Charlotte, Beatrice/Beatrix, Oliver, Felix, and Henry give me the same impression that Olivia gives you.

Overused, bland, lacks personality.

As a child, it wasn't as ungodly popular again yet and I only knew 1 girl with this name. And I always associate it with her. Now I'm tired of it in the same way as Emma. I like both Emma and Olivia, but they need a little break and to slow down a bit.

I think it's common for a good reason! Unlike, say, Amelia, which I really do not see the point of. And the point is, lots of people like it.There's an Olivia in my family tree. She was born in the early 20th century, before the first World War, in the UK. It seems that, by her own choice, she was always known as Olive or Ollie. I consider this a huge error of judgement; she obviously didn't. I might, given enough daughters, have considered Olivia as a mn, because of its family connection, but not as a fn; I don't mind Liv much, but I can't face Ollie.

I love the name but it’s been too popular for too long for me to consider naming my own child. I like the Shakespeare and Law and Order: SVU reference, and the sound is nice. I would consider as a middle… or if my husband hated every other single name I liked and this was the only name we mutually liked.

I've always hated it. I was almost named Olivia in 1985 and I always made heaving noises when my mom mentioned it. I hate all the sounds in the name. It's so ugly to me. That said, my son is Oliver. Completely different sound and feel though.

Dislike it immensely. I dont get why it's so popular

I love it, but it's just so, so, SO popular. It fits in almost perfectly style-wise with a lot of names I like, but it's so overused right now that I can't even consider it.

It's gorgeous, no wonder it's so popular right now. And I don't mean only in the US; it's also popular in Scandinavia, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.Furthermore, it's starting to catch up in some non-English speaking European countries. I believe it will crack the top 5 in my country around 2025.

Once the popularity dies down in a few years it'll be a nice name again. Right now it's just stale.

I agreeTheoretically I like the name Olivia (not a favorite, but a pretty name), but its popularity means I'm tired of it. I also don't like Liv or Livi much, so I'd nickname a daughter Ollie, Olive, or Via.*

We named our daughter Liviana as an alternative and have gotten SO many compliments. She mostly goes by "Liv" and "Livi"

I still like it, but I feel like Olive has more personality and color.

I don’t hate it but it is overused at the moment and needs a long break.

YawnIt’s also Olive Oyl’s name in Italian which is I guess why it never caught on here...
