WDYTO Clover?
I’ve always said that I liked Clover for a animal like a cow or rabbit, but it’s recently warming up on me for a human. Thoughts? Am I crazy?

I COULD see it on a human. I do kind of like it on a girl, but I wouldn’t use it on a real person. It’s just too animalish, and it rhymes with Grover. I’d only use it on a fictional character or pet. I think it’s pretty, but it just doesn’t work in the real word.

I actually really like it! I think it’s a nice, gender-neutral nature name. I don’t know if I’d use it irl, but it’s certainly a gp.

I don't get the appeal even for an animal to be honest. I had plenty of farm animals and pets growing up and we never inflicted that name on them! The sound is not attractive either. The vibe it puts off to me is dopey cow.

I like Clover for humans! But I think it fits a young girl best, and I don't know if I would really like it on an adult. I think it could grow on me. The sound isn't childish at all, it actually sounds fairly serious. It just makes me think of cute things like the plants themselves and imagery like bunnies frolicking in the meadow lol Clo is very wearable as a nickname, since a lot of people are named Chloe. Clove would be a more natural nickname but Clo comes naturally too.

I actually kinda like Clover. It’s cute enough and appealing on a kid (More so a girl) on Saint Patrick’s Day or March. The month of luck! Yeah Clover is okay. I can see what would are saying about the cow or rabbit thing but it’s eccentric and cool in a different kind of way. If I were forced at gunpoint to use Clover, I’d do...Clover Annabelle
Clover Elizabeth
Clover Diana
Clover Isidora
Clover Michaela

It’s an animal name to me and especially for a cow. I had a co-worker with a cat named Clover but I can’t warm up to it as a name for a person. Sorry.

I'm trying to like Clover but it still makes me think of a cow. It does have a soft sound which is nice. But it is one letter away from "lover" and also reminds me of "clove" as in "garlic clove". Look-wise.It's an okay name but way overrated and better for a cow than a human.

Clover was the loyal, boring and respectable second child in the What Katy Did books, always sticking up for her naughty sister whatever happened. So that's my association with it as a human name. I don't know about it as a farm-animal name; I wouldn't like to be named after my favourite food. But Clover is a whole lot better than Muesli or Lambcutlets.

A coworker, a man, at the school I most recently taught at had this first name. He hated it.I honestly feel like it's the name one might give to a treasured milk cow.

Theoretically I like it in practice it just does seem more like an animal name. I do like its sound.
