It’s okay for a girl. I don’t like it for a boy. For a boy, I’d much rather see Les or Lester. I’ve seen it spelt Lesley, which is acceptable to me, but I prefer Leslie.

I think Leslie is a pretty nice name. It wouldn’t be my first choice, but it’s not bad. It’s definitely an androgynous name; no doubt about it. Though, I do prefer the Lesley spelling.Lesley Kendall would be a cool, androgynous name combo.

Leslie is traditionally a male name and Lesley is traditionally female. We had a neighbour named Leslie who gave his son the mn Leslie and his daughter the mn Lesley.I like it better for a boy. Lesley-Ann seems to have been widely used for girls, presumably to avoid confusion with Leslie boys! Both names are dated where I live, and I don't see them coming back any time soon.

Male name. I associate it with Leslie Cheung. I like this spelling -- even if it seems quite feminine -- but I think it's handsome. Middle names for him could be Adam, James, or Michael.

I have always found ie to be masculine and y to be feminine. I wouldn’t use it myself as I have a bad association but it’s not a bad name.Leslie Conrad

History and evolution have pretty much dropped this one in the unisex camp, at least in the US. Know both men and women with the name. I would use your spelling but Lesley is okay too.
