Re: Girl names that go with brother Oliver

I think of Oliver as classic and timeless, and Ivy as currently fashionable. I could be wrong; it might not matter.
I prefer Margaret to Margot. I don't enjoy Charlotte or Amelia, though Emily is good. I named my daughter Caroline, and it worked very well. I would avoid a name that shares a sound or sounds with Oliver: not Eleanor or Coralie, therefore, lovely though they are. What about a short name for a change? Clare, Joy, Maeve, Ruth? That would be a bit staccato with June or Lee, unless you're open to 2 mns. Clare Amelia June. Joy Charlotte Lee. Ruth Margot Ivy. Maeve Caroline Lee.

Thank you! I think we are now deciding between Ivy and Caroline. I do think Ivy is a little more trendy but it has been around and used for many many years it could still be considered classic, so it doesn’t bother me. :) I am definitely a fan of the classic names though! I do also like Clare.
