I don't think anything is too odd to be used today. I pdersonally wouldnt use Vespasian, but Trajin is nice. "It's orange Ellen, orange! That's why they call it the red planet!!!" -Lakota

I would definitely not use Trajan or Vespasian. If I met one I would snicker behind his back and think his parents were pretentious and completely off their rockers.Like Eilis, Trajan makes me think of Trojan condoms.

Well, Trajan looks way too close to Trojan for me, and naming a kid something that similar to a very familiar brand of condoms isn't something I'd go for. So I don't particularly like that name.Vespasian.... is cool sounding, but I think it'd be hard for anyone to carry. Of all your names I really only like Gerard, Frederik, and Ezra. Gerard has been sneaking up on my list of well-liked names lately.

Eilis beat me to it, but I was going to express my fear that Trajan will be subjected to a certain amount of hazing centered on prophylactics...However, one of my GP combos is Caius Tiberius; I think Trajan Octavius sounds very cool, if imperious (but then so does Caius Tiberius).~Lillian~

Trajan Barnabas - doesn't flow very well
Trajan Ezra - ok
Trajan Frederik - nms
Trajan Gerard - nms

Trajan Milan - ok
Trajan Octavius - nms, but sounds good
Trajan Stanislav - ah onother one from my fav list :)Vespasian Aleksandr/Alexander - a bit long
Vespasian Caesar - good, but I wouldn't use it
Vespasian Gerard - nms
Vespasian Milan - ok

A bit over the top--though I do know a Traianos. He is extremely Greek, so he can get away with it. If you're that fond of Trajan, it would make a nice quirky middle name. Be prepared (both you and the kid himself) for plenty of explanation.Your combos Trajan Octavius, Vespasian Caesar, and Vespasian Octavius are really over the top, unfortunately. One imperial name/title per child is probably enough. ;-)

I could possibly get away with using one of those three combos though, probably only two or three people I know would actually know that those names are imperial names/titles.
Thanks!
