Diane
No, not Diana, Diane. What do you think of Diane? Do you like it as a first name, or should it be a middle name? Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I feel like Diana is more name-y, if that makes sense, and Diane is more middle name like. I don't have a problem with it at all but I would prefer Diana. That said, I knew a nice yet eccentric lady named Miss Diane some time ago and that's who I think of when I see this name. Because of that association I can't help but think it's more old-fashioned, while Diana for the most part is pretty youthful but mature. I can still see a young Diane, but still. Also how can I resist Diana by 1D and Dirty Diana? Lol

Totally agree with New_Chloe about it being an "auntie name".
I don't think it's ready to come back, Diana is better as a first name IMO but Diane could flow better as a middle name with some first names.I feel like Diane had a similar trajectory to Jennifer, where the first wave of users probably saw it as a fancy/fantastical mythological flavored name but now it's a boring normie kind of name. Diane is just a little more interesting now because it's been 'dated' for longer.

I think Diana is tenfold the better choice but I of course could be biased.....It feels stronger and more alive in comparison to wilty Diane.

I like it but I would only use it as a middle name. I would totally use Diana as a first name.

Middle name. I can't think of any Diane's under 60 and most that I know are not very nice.

I've known a few Diane and Diana people, and I slightly prefer Diana but I could happily do without both of them. Either way, it would be mn only for me if I had to use one; anything to escape the horror of Di.

I kinda like it. Diane has that "loud broad" energy I often enjoy. I wouldn't say it's a beautiful name, but it's warm and real. It's an "auntie" name for me; something that has an earthy, casual 70s vibe, like Pam, Cathy, Debbie, Shelly, Donna, Cindy, Sharon, Janet, etc. I think it could make a great middle name....but meeting a baby named Diane would be SO exciting.

I don't really like it, very dated, ok as a mn

Diane, and most names with the same ending sound I find very dated. Diana is still fresh and I wouldn’t mind seeing it on a little girl. I don’t immediately think of Princess Diana.
