Andromeda
Do you think Andromeda could work on a child? Is it too... something? I like the way it sounds and I was wondering if it sounds too much like a character of a novel to work in real life. Wdyt? What nns could Andromeda have? I like Annie, but I was wondering if you could think of any others that might work better. Any mn suggestions? Also, I have fallen for the name Ivah lately. I definitely want to use it some day. Wdyt of Ivah? I've thought of the combo Ivah Winifred, but I would rather use Ivah and Winifred as fns (because I love the nn Winnie) so I could use some mn suggestions for Ivah too. Thanks in advance!

Andromeda does seem a little exotic, and for some reason reminds me of "android". I love Ivah though!

I don't like the name Andromeda on anyone, especially a child. It does sound more fictional...
Andy is the first nickname that comes to mind.
I like Ivah but I don't like Winifred. L'Eau Qui Pleure

Andromeda has a nice name, but it's not one that I would use. I automatically think of the constellation, which isn't a bad thing of course. The name just seems a bit much to me, but then again, it could grow on me. I like Andra as a nickname.Ivah is a lovely name. Winifred is honestly nms. other ideas:
Ivah Claire
Ivah Jillian / Gillian

I'm loving it more and more lately. It is a bit much for an infant, but Annie and Anne make great nns. I love both Ivah and Winifred, too. Combo suggestions:
Andromeda Daisy
Andromeda Edith
Andromeda Edmé (Edme)
Andromeda Faye
Andromeda Violet
Andromeda Willow Sorry I don't have time to come up with more.

I like it but I think it would work better as a mn. In fact, I've been toying with the combo Holly Andromeda for a character. In my mind it's a surprising alternative to Ann or Anne as a mn ;)Ivah sounds nice (I'd prefer it spelt Iva, but those are two different names then!). I'd suggest middle names but I can't think of any right now!--

All I think of is the TV show "Andromeda." It's not a bad connotation, just a strong one. If I met a little girl named Andromeda I'd immediately think her parents were obsessed with sci-fi. I do think Andromeda is a lovely name, though. Annie or Andie make great nicknames.Ivah's NMS but Ivah Winifred sounds great. What about Ivah Frances, Ivah Kelly, or Ivah Georgette?
