I've noticed while building family trees that a lot of older names have nicknames that are the same number of syllables and often very similar:
Henry "
Harry",
Sarah "
Sadie",
Florence "
Flora",
Mary "
Molly", etc. What exactly is the point of these? Would you ever use such a nickname for a child?
