I'm coming from the US, so a little different. Overall, these feel like middle-aged+ names these days.
I know a Derek in his 40s, I know a Roger who's in his 60s, etc. Usually I'd expect Steve to just be short for Steven / Stephen.
Colin still feels pretty fresh, I feel like Wolfgang is up for a trendy revival in the States, and I wouldn't be surprised to meet a young Tyrone, personally.
