I like Stephen better than Steven but Steve could be a nn for either. Handsome name imho. Timeless -- or should be! Philip is nice but Phil debases it. I notice that the same press article (Daily Mail) lists the following as other examples of the downward trend: Nigel, Melvyn, Norman, Rodney, Trevor, Horace. I quite like Nigel ... but Horace is a horror! Apparently Bodhi is one of the "in" names. Ghastly! I love tradition!
