Rian or Ryan...
My sister's newest favorite way to spell the always great Ryan is now Rian. I think that it is O.K., but I prefer the traditional spelling.WDYT??

I prefer Ryan for a boy but am more open to the spelling Rian on a girl. However, I still prefer Ryan for both genders.**~**~**~**~**~**~**

I much prefer Ryan. Rian just looks rather odd to me and people would always spell it wrong.

I prefer Ryan, not only because it's the original spelling, but Rian would be mis-spelled all the time.I don't see no shine,

I like Rian. Although it is English it reminds me of my Irish roots from names like Kian, Liam, and Cian, Ian, and Sian.

Rian looks to me like REE-an. Also reminds me of Cian. I like Ryan.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ryan:Your girlfriend hooked up with a girl. So what?
Seth:There's only 1 way to handle this.
Zach:You're gonna hook up with a guy?Lassiter:You can't be here. I do not want you here. If you don't leave I'll have you arrested for disturbing a crime scene. Is that clear?

What did the Ryan family ever do to your sister to make her spell their name that way?Try this: take your surname (or your mother's maiden name) and change one letter and suggest it as a fn. Perhaps then she might get it. Now, wait. She might actually do it. Eek.
