Serena or Selena?
These are two names that I love. But which one do you prefer?

I love both (prefer Celina which means "heaven" or "heavenly") but I'd have to go with Serena. It's beautiful, has a nice meaning, everyone has heard of it and knows how to spell and pronounce Serena, and it's not that common.

I like both about the same, but my vote goes to Selena.

I love both too, but Serena wins because Selina (as I always imagine the spelling, the name of a famous British aristocrat, Lady Selina Hastings) has a slight hint of semolina pudding (the stuff of Brit school dinners!).
On the other hand, Selene pronounced with three syllables as the Greeks intended (like the endings of Penelope, Daphne and the British pronunciation of Irene) is absolutely heavenly!

I prefer Serena probably because Selena can only remind me of the Tejano singer who was killed here in Texas.

SerenaSelena has never appealed to me, for whatever reason. I'm more neutral on Serena so that would be my pick between the two.Names with some kind of similarity that I like a bit more would include:Sorina
Sarita
Shamira
Savina
Zareen
Sabrina

I like Selene bestfollowed by Serena, then Selena, then Serene (yes: L, R-a, L-a, R). Weird but true. My fave Selene combo is Lyrien Selene. I think Selene and Soleil make a most excellent twinset: Selene = moon, Soleil = sun. My exact combos are Selene Diana and Soleil Lucina.

I love Selene and Soleil! I'm not having any more children but I'll keep them in mind for future kittens. ;-)
