My newspaper column
I have begun writing a column on names that at this point will be appearing every other Tuesday in the Omaha World-Herald. At the moment you seem to be able to look at in online. I'm not sure I really want it to be online, as my ultimate goal is to get the column syndicated, but at least you all can look at it for now. The topic for the first column was suggested by the editor. I hope you all like it.http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_pag...u_sid=10232182

P.S. This link may not really take you directly to the column. Search for "cleveland evans" under the search function and for the article titled "He's known as Martin but was born Michael."

Search box is upper right corner. You can also search more precisely for cleveland+evans (note the "+").The following link should also work, at least as of now:

I found the column thanks to your link. If I type "cleveland+evans", all I get is a lot of sports.Interesting what Coretta King wrote:
"Coretta King said she "fell victim" to the custom of choosing an unusual name for her daughter when Yolanda was born"Better than to "fall victim" to the custom of choosing a very common name imo. But I think uncommon (or at least formerly uncommon) names are more used nowadays. And thanks to Yolanda King, lots of women are now named Yolanda. If she named her Mary or Elizabeth, people would not have discovered Yolanda, a beautiful name.

Oh dear ... I was greatly looking forward to your column, but I couldn't even find the Search function! Kudos, anyway, and I'll keep trying. All the best
