Where my Name by Teela
Teela: I was surfing when I came upon your message. I found it very it very interesting. I am puzzled by the response by Susan which is very insensitive. However, the Biblical reference you indicated is TELAH (I Chron. 7:25)listed in the geneology of the Old Testament. Telah was an Ephraimite, father of Tahan, a decendant of Ephraim through Beriah. That's all we know.I was interested in the the name TEELAH, as it is used in the fiction trilogy novel written by Ted Dekker: Black, Red, White. An excellent read. He uses the name as a metophoric name to represent Satan in the second world(dream world)of Thomas Hunter (Thomas of Hunter) I wanted to see what Teelah meant, or at least see what the root word may mean in any ancient language, hebrew or greek for instance. So far I have not found one, but I just started. So my next step is to ask Ted Dekker why he used Teelah as this name. So, by no means am I indicating your name is connected to Satan or evil. I'm only seeking to see if there is connection- a root word between the name in the book and Satan. But,I also wanted to offer to you that it is possible that your parents simply just liked the name, aside to any meaning or consequence of the meaning or purpose your name may represent. Have you asked them?Names use to mean who you are. They describe your character- your very person. If your were a good person, your name described that. If your reputation was lying, for instance, your name described that. That is why, particuly in the bible, we see people have their name changed to represent their charecter. So, Teela... enjoy your name, because your parents gave it to you out love and God loves you through His Son Jesus Christ!
