The past year has been extremely stressful for Demetrius. He has been spending it trying to help calm things down after Lady Gloriana was granted full honors. He believes that she earned her status just like anyone else and deserves everything she has. This has caused some strain on his relationship with Alexandra, who wishes he would leave that to his sisters and pay more attention to his wife and family. Demetrius knows he needs to be there for his family, but he also feels that he needs to help calm some of the uproar of the Great Matter.
Alexandra decided to take the children to visit her family in one of Kriana's other cities because they had never met Alexandra's parents and siblings before. To her displeasure, Demetrius decided to stay at the palace. Alexandra's family lives close to the countryside. Nerissa enjoyed riding horses, however she missed riding them with her father and cousin Ione. When she isn't riding horses, she is constantly reading or studying. Antonius enjoys riding with his sister, and trying to play soldier with Dominic, even though Dominic is still too young to understand. Antonius still competes for Alexandra's attention, but is getting better at learning how to share it with his brothers and sisters. Dominic admires his older brother and sister, and always tries to follow them around. He's very adventurous and is constantly getting hurt. Alexandra has learned that she has to keep a very close eye out for him before he causes too much trouble. The twins are both very happy and calm, barely crying over anything.
After spending a few weeks with her family, Alexandra returned back to the palace in a much better mood than when she left. Her and Demetrius had missed each other, so it was no surprise that only a few weeks after she returned to the palace she announced she was pregnant again. Demetrius had decided to take more time to spend with Alexandra and his children, and everything seemed to be going great. That is, until Alexandra went into labor. This labor was significantly longer and more physically straining on Alexandra than the others. The Healer wasn't sure if the baby would even survive, but luckily 30 grueling hours later, Alexandra and Demetrius's third daughter finally arrived. They named her Arista Diana Selena and it was clear from the start that she was going to be a handful. She had dark blonde hair, light blue eyes, and rosy pink cheeks. From the start, Arista demanded things her way by crying and screaming when something wasn't just right to her.
