Tristan Kane is such an adorable combo! Tristan is rather romantic and cute and Kane does a wonderful job of grounding it and giving it a strong sound. Love it & congrats to your cousin! :)
Katherine Margaret nn Kate/Katie is a lovely combos though perhaps a bit lengthy or overly classic. It's sweet and Kate is one of my favorite nicknames though Katie is really popular.
Charles nn Charlie is a really nice name and it's great that is honors her father. It cheers my heart to know that someone else loves Petra too! It's such a sweet name and it would work so well as a sister to Charles someday if they don't have a girl now. ;) Quinlan is also nice but I don't think it's really that great on a girl, on a boy it would be cute but I really like Charles much better.
There's not even any foundation for thinking that Julie is a form of John, is there? That's rather ridiculous! Feminine forms of John are abundant (Johna, Johanna, Joanna, Joan, Jane, Jean, Jeanette, Janet, Gianna, Jenna, Jenny, Jessie, Shawna, Siobhan, even Asia according to this site!) so why Julie? Some people should check out this site before they go giving themselves a different name!
