I love Alice too, it's in my Top Ten currently.
I love the nickname Ali.
I also love how strong Alice can be; it's a feminine name but not frilly.
Because I pronounce Alice "AL-lys", I don't hear the 'lice' and therefore don't really see it in the written word.
