I tend to prefer Annemarie over Anne-Marie, but I like both. I don't particularly care for the double name version - Ann Marie, for example.
As far as nicknames, I can only think of really Annie? I tend to think I wouldn't use a nickname.
I think this is a name that requires a formal, dignified middle name -
Annemarie Alexandra
Annemarie Catherine
Annemarie Elizabeth
Annemarie Genevieve
Annemarie Josephina
Annemarie Louisa
Annemarie Ophelia
