Dear all,
This has been an exciting year for Jake and I. First off and most importantly, we welcomed our first child, a son, Leonardo Roberts (we call him Leo). He's an absolute angel and we couldn't adore him more.
Secondly, Jacob is on the verge of an extremely important breakthrough - you may have heard it on the news? As you all know, he is a genetic scientist and, along with his team, he is the closest we have ever got to being able to grow tissue and organs in a lab: organ donation would never again be necessary and everybody in the world who needed a transplant would get one right away. Currently, Jacob believes that he is about a month away from creating a living cell and after that, the process will go at a hundred miles an hour! By next year he hopes to be growing tissue so fingers crossed.
