Most of the Georges were George W., I'm assuming for George Washington. Other common ones...
William H. H. - I'm assuming William Henry Harrison.
Francis M. - I'm assuming Francis Marion "The Swamp Fox". My great great grandfather was the Francis Marion listed in this index and I know that's who he was named for.
Samuel E. W. - There were a couple of these, but I've no idea why.
