My youngest’s name is Thomas Alistair and we call him Tom. I think that Tom is a lovely name and won’t really ever go out of style. It’s also one of those names that can grow with the child, which is great. The only downside to Tom is that in the U.K., Tom is terribly common, so a lot of the time people will remember my Tom as Alistair instead of Tom because they probably know like twenty Toms and have a Tom in their family. Tom really is a classic English name, but Tom is one of my favourites, along with Alistair.

I named my very cool son Tom. I of course would say he is cool as he is mine, but most agree, lol. Anyway, his birth certificate says Thomas after his Grandfather out of respect but we agree that Tom is cooler as a day to day name not just for a kid (age 7) but also throughout life.
