I like Shannon but dislike Michelle. I personally find Michelle a bit dated and was way too popular back when I was born. There were always quite a few Michelles in all my classes at school. I think I'd prefer them as mns. I guess they sound ok together but like I said, Michelle's not really my style.Shannon is unisex and I think it works well for either sex. I only like Shannon spelt this way. It looks kind of mispelt with an "a" instead of "o".

I like Shannon the best on a girl. I only met one Shannon in my life and that was a girl :p I prefer the spelling Shannon.
I think Shannon and Michelle is a good sibset. I like Shannon better than Michelle, but both names are fine.Shannon Giselle

I love the name Michelle! It's been a favorite of mine for a long time. I like it either as a FN or a MN. Michelle Rene is my favorite Michelle as a FN combo, and Sara Michelle is my favorite Michelle as a MN combo.Shannon, on the other hand, is one of those names that has never appealed to me. I definitely prefer it spelled Shannon and only for a girl, but it isn't my style at all.

these names aren't really my style. not bad names but pretty common and a little on the boring side.as a sibset they work for me, but it does seem like an awful lot of "sh"ushing going on when I say it.I only like Shannon for a girl and prefer that spelling.Luxiana

I know Shannon was originally a boy's name. And usually I like to stick with tradition. But it is also a river in Ireland (where my mother and paternal grandparents are from). Since I'm used to nature names on girls, Shannon for a girl feels very, well, natural. Confession: it's also my niece's name. Sue me. Shannon Olivia
Shannon Eliza
Shannon Maeve
Shannon Bridget
Shannon Eileen
Shannon Deirdre
Shannon Tess
Shannon Kate
Shannon Ailsa (Scottish place name)
Shannon Emily
Michelle I've never really warmed to. But it is a feminine classic, so I'm happy enough to see it on a newborn girl. Michelle Christine
Michelle Rosalie
Michelle Valerie
Michelle Sandrine
Michelle Therese ("tehr-EZZ")Good luck!

I like both. I'd go with Michelle though, because I had a friend with the name Shannon, but there was this woman I couldn't stand named Shannon too. I'd only use Shannon for a girl.

They're not bad but they sound dated to me. I grew up with lots of Shannons and Michelles (tons of Michelles).I prefer the spelling Shannon and I have no preference as to what sex it is used for.
