I really love Maria, always have. Wouldn't have minded using it for our daughter, but Phillip can't stand it.I have only personally known a couple of Marias in my life. It is very popular with Hispanics, and well-used by other groups as well, but I wouldn't say it was overused.I'm not crazy about the combos you've listed. They are mostly way too long and flowery. Here's a few combos from me:Maria AllisonMaria CamilleMaria DawnMaria Desireemaria Estellemaria Elena (pretty predictable, that one)Maria FayeMaria JoyMaria JanelleMaria LaurenMaria Naomimaria NoelleMaria OpalMaria PalomaMaria RoseMaria SusanMaria StarMaria Theresa (again, predictable)I don't care for Mimi as a nn either.

I used to absolutely love Maria - then I went off it somewhat. I haven't met a Maria in a long while actually. I like Mimi too but only as an occasional nn.I like Maria Violet, Maria Vivienne, Maria Susannah,Maria Rosamund. Maria Hesper(nice), Maria Lavender, Maria Florence - in fact most of your combos. What do you think of Maria Nimue?

I might have considered it overused within Italian Catholic families about fifty years ago, but nowadays it's a lovely breath of fresh air. I feel the same way about Mary and Marie (as a first name, Marie as a MN is so incredibly boring). It's very sophisticated, but Mimi turns it into a stripper name or a guinea pig. Mia would be my nickname of choice. Here are my favorite and most-favoritest* combos of yours:Maria Adelaide
Maria Agnes
Maria Beatrice
Maria Beatrix
Maria Blanche
Maria Blythe*
Maria Cecily
Maria Eloise
Maria Emmeline
Maria Florence* -- I wouldn't use either of these, but the combo is striking in its timelessness.
Maria Genevieve*
Maria Juliet
Maria Léontine
Maria Luciana
Maria Lucille
Maria Ottoline
Maria Poppy*
Maria Rosalind*
Maria Rosaline
Maria Rosamond
Maria Susanna
Maria Susannah
Maria Sylvia
Maria Violet
Maria Vivian
Maria Vivienne

I don't find Maria overused, but it isn't my style. I know quite a few Maria's of different ages, and they all seem to suit it really well. I really dislike the nickname Mimi for any name. I just find it kind of tacky and it reminds me of Mariah Carey. Out of your combos I like the following or think they flow very well:Maria Celestine
Maria Clementine
Maria Constance
Maria Delphine
Maria Eleanor
Maria Eloise
Maria Emmeline
Maria Evelyn
Maria Florence
Maria Genevieve
Maria Juliet
Maria Léontine
Maria Luciana
Maria Lucille
Maria Mathilde
Maria Primrose
Maria Rosalind
Maria Rosaline
Maria Violet
Maria Vivian
Maria Vivienne

I love Maria! It reminds me of West Side Story. I don't know any young Marias, but it would depend where you live. If you live in a largeily Hispanic neighborhood, than there would probably be many. I also wouldn't be surprised if some of the babies that are listed as Maria in stats are actually "Maria Elena", "Maria Cristina" even "Maria Katelyn" and go by their middle names.

I really like Maria, and as a fn I don't think it's at all overused. I know one eighteen-year-old named Maria. I don't especially mind Mimi, but it seems a stretch as a nn for just Maria; perhaps if there was another M in the mn? Maria Emeline "Mimi" or Maria Melisande "Mimi" I could imagine.Of your combos, I like/love*:Maria Adeline
Maria Apollonia
Maria Beatrix*
Maria Cecily
Maria Constance

I've recently become captivated by Maria--particularly with the nickname Miep. I don't care for Mimi. It isn't overused among my acquaintances, but it's definitely quite popular worldwide. Maria Florence and Maria Ottoline are lovely.
