[Opinions] Yael
What do you think of the name Yael? How do you think it sounds as a sister name for Irina? Do you think that they're too ethnically different to use as names for sisters? Also, what MNs would you pair with Yael?_____

I love the name said YAH-ehl, not like Yale. I don't think, however, that it is good with Irina. In fact, I think it's rather bad with Irina, sorry.Middle names (I can only picture other Hebrew names with Yael):

I actually quite like Yael. I prefer Yael to Jael. And I think it is ok with Irina. To me they are both more unusual names (to the usual one's I hear in everyday life) and and even look and sound nice together. The ethnicity doesn't scream out at you like a sister set of Catherine and Kazuko would to me.I like the suggestion of Yael Imogen. Very nice.
Are you into historical figures? What about (random names):
Yael Kleio / Yael Clio
Yael Salome
Yael Aegle
Yael Bronwen / Yael Bronwyn
Yael Talitha
Yael Aurelia / Yael Aurelie
Yael Rhiannon
Yael Allegra
Yael Vanessa
Yael Jocelyn / Yael Joceline
Yael Thomasina / Yael Tamsin
Yael Beatrice / Yael Beatrix
Yael Guinevere / Yael Guenevere
Yael Audrey

Interestingly enough, Kazuko is very close to the name of the author of my favourite book, "Remains of the Day". The author's name is Kazuo Ishiguro. :)I'm very much into historical figures. When I find one that I'm quite partial to, I have a tendency to want to name a future child after them, lol.I like:Yael Vanessa
Yael Hermione
Yael Aoife
Yael AliceAnd I absolutely love Yael Amalia! That one's going on my short list!Thanks!_____

I'm not really fond of Yael although I love Jael. I don't know why but when I first saw Yael I though you meant for a boy! It's very differnt from the beautiful Irina, I can't wrap my arms around it. :(Image hosted by Photobucket.com

It's pronounced "yah-EHL", some even spell the name how you've typed it: Ya'el. I think it can also be spelled Yaël. It's the Hebrew phonetic form of Jael.I like the look of Yael Imogen! That looks very regal, IMO.I suppose I could use another name from history as the MN. Yael is a historical name, being the name of a heroine in the Book of Judges. I'll have to think about those other historical figures that I like enough to bestow their names on my children.
