I've really like the name Mira ever since I watched an adaptation of the book 'Daniel Deronda' on TV, his love intrest is named Mirah Lapidoth and she has a beautiful voice! So I really like the spelling Mirah but Mira is also really pretty. I used Mira for a heroine in a story I wrote once.

It is short for Miranda, though. However, she has never once gone by Miranda, and her parents now wish they had given her the name by itself. The only language that I know of in which Mira means "look" is Spanish. I'm not sure that is a problem, though.
