Bailey, for a boy
I'm pretty sure this name as viewed as trashy (?) in the UK and feminine in the US, but regardless, Wdyt of the name Bailey for a boy? I think it's handsome

I don't know if someone has already said it but here in Australia, it's strictly a boys' name. I know a lot of little boys with this name to the point where I'm getting sick of it. I think if it wasn't so common, I'd love it. As it is though, I love American BAs where I get to imagine it on a girl.
I sadly agree that it's a bit trashy (I live in the US, btw), and yes people do use it for girls a lot here, but they use it for boys too. I think it's very boyish myself, but (again, sadly) I also think it sounds like a dog's name. (And no, I've never known anyone w/ a dog named Bailey.)
bottom line: better for a boy by far in my opinion

Personaly I don't care much for it on either gender. I actually went to school with a male Bailey (actually I think he spelled it Baley) and since he was the first person I knew with the name, it always sounded a bit unisex.

It's funny how you have to clarify that it's for a boy in the subject line.
Um...I'm neutral on it. It doesn't spark my interest, and it doesn't make me want to punch things. Good?

The only Bailey I've met is a girl, and there was a country act called Bailie and the Boys back in the late 80's, early 90's. Bailie was the female singer's last name, but somehow the execs at their company started calling the group Bailie and the Boys, and it stuck. I can't imagine it on a boy.
As a last name, there's the comic strip Beetle Bailey. He's a lazy soldier, and I don't think I'd want a son to be associated with that image. Not that it's a horrible one, but I wouldn't want people to think he's lazy like the character. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beetle_Bailey

I don't like and think it's kinda trashy no matter tbh. If I met a male Bailey, I'd probably assume it was his last name. It just sounds so feminine to me with the 'ay' and 'lee' sounds.

I'd think it was okay for a boy if 1. I didn't see so many girls using it. I do know of one Bailey who's male, he'd be about twelve now. and more importantly 2. If I didn't know so many dogs named Bailey. Seriously, I'm pretty much starting to consider Bailey a dog name because it seems like anytime somebody tells me about their dog the dog's name is Bailey nine times out of ten.
