What do you think of these?
Just looking for some opinions on these names. Nicknames in quotations. Some of the nns (like Cassandra nn Cassie, Thaddeus nn Thad, etc) I think are unavoidable. If you don't like the nns, they aren't set in stone. I'm looking more for opinions on the actual name. Thanks for your help!
Girl:
Artemis "Missy"
Cassandra "Cassie"
Cleo
Elizabeth "Elsie, Libby, Lilibeth"
Miriam "Miri, Mim, Mimi, Mira"
Nina
Persephone "Percy, Sephy, Posey"
Boys:
Matthias (I pronounce it kind of like ma-thy-us)
Perseus "Percy" (PJO anyone?)
Thaddeus "Thad"

Artemis - I don't personally like it, but I would still be able to appreciate someone else using it. Missy, seems like a bit of a copout for a nickname on such a gutsy strong name. I'd call her Artie or Temis. If you want a girly nn though, Missy works, as would Temmy/Tammy. Oo, Timmy would be cute too.Cassandra - Too frilly for my liking, but I like the Cass part. I've always like Cassia. The nicknames Cass and Cassie are both fine. Sandra or Candra would work too.Cleo - Why do I only think of a cat name when I hear this?Elizabeth - A mite uninteresting, but a fine name. Lilibeth is a great nickname. And the nickname possibilities are pretty endless: Liz, Lizzie, Lizbeth, Elsie, Elsa, Elsabeth, Eliza, Beth, Bethy, Betty, Libby...Miriam - Delightful. Wonderful. So underused! Miri is my favourite nickname, but Mia would also be really good.Nina - I really don't like it. It feels too nicknamey too me, plus old-ladyish and childish at the same time. Weird.Persephone - Kind of over-the-top, but that's okay. Love Percy and Sephy as nicknames. Seph? Sepho? Matthias - oo, I really don't like that pronunciation. Perseus - Again, a bit over-the-top, but that's not a bad thing as long as the namer is aware of it and prepared for comments. :) Percy makes Perseus much more accessible.Thaddeus - Yes. Yes, yes, yes. Awesome. Thad is good, but how about Tadpole for when he's little?!

Artemis is an awesome and beautiful name, but I don't really think it's useable in real life. Missy is fluffy and I don't like it, it takes away from the sophistication of Artemis.Cassandra is lovely and Cassie is a nice nickname.Cleo. My last car was a Clio, so I can't take this name seriously.Elizabeth is nice, but a bit boring as it's so common. Elsie is quite a cute nickname though.Miriam is gorgeous. I like Mira as a nickname, but Mimi sounds like a poodle!Nina is a bit short for me, but I like it as a nickname. Persephone is like Artemis: beautiful but not useableMatthias is nice but I don't like the fact that it has various pronunciations. Also, he'd end up being called Matt and blending in with all the MatthewsPerseus is pretty cool, but Percy is kind of dorkyThaddeus is nice but Thad is jocky and harsh sounding

Artemis "Missy"- I'm coming around to Artemis- I used to completely dislike it, and I'm still not sold, but it's growing on me. Maybe it's because I like the idea of Artie as a nickname for a girl. I just picture a really cool teenager with that name, haha. I'm not fond of Missy, it sounds prissy and/or juvenile.
Cassandra "Cassie"- Cassandra was almost my own name, and I actually prefer it to the one I ended up with! I think it's elegant but modern. Maybe a tad dated now. Cassie is nice enough as a nickname, particularly as she'd be growing up.
Cleo- I like Cleo. It's short, to the point, and has a sound that's somewhat unusual, with the O ending for a girl.
Elizabeth "Elsie, Libby, Lilibeth"- I find Elizabeth overused and dull, but it's a nice enough name. I like Libby the best of the nicknames you've listed.
Miriam "Miri, Mim, Mimi, Mira"- Miriam is nice. It's not going to turn my head or make me stop and take notice, but it's nice and definitely preferable to yet another popular name. I think Miri is particularly nice as a nickname. I also like Mira, but on its own or as a nickname for Mirabelle.
Nina- Has a pleasantly sharp sound and works very well internationally. I like it.
Persephone "Percy, Sephy, Posey"- Never really came around to Persephone.Matthias (I pronounce it kind of like ma-thy-us)- Pronunciation is why I don't like it so much. I feel like people will try to say it so many different ways.

Artemis "Missy" -I like Artemis, not Missy, but I can't separate this one from myth or fiction enough to see it as usable irl.
Cassandra "Cassie" -Not a fan of name or nickname.
Cleo -like, but don't love
Elizabeth "Elsie, Libby, Lilibeth" -like Elizabeth. Like Eliza, Lizzy, and Zabet as short forms.
Miriam "Miri, Mim, Mimi, Mira" -Like Miriam and Mira.
Nina -meh
Persephone "Percy, Sephy, Posey" -nope, nope, don't like it at all and have never seen the appeal of this one
Boys:
Matthias (I pronounce it kind of like ma-thy-us) -like it
Perseus "Percy" (PJO anyone?) -cool
Thaddeus "Thad" -Like Thad a little, but not Thaddeus.

I like Artemis, but I'm not in love with it like some people are. I think it's too mythological and simultaneously too hippy-dippy for a real person to pull off easily. Not that it hasn't got a strong sound and mythological heritage, I just don't think it works. I also -hate- Missy, sorry, and I don't think it goes with Artemis in the slightest.
Cassandra is okay. I think it's pretty dated, and I'm not a fan of Cassie.
Cleo is okay. I think it's more of a pet name.
Elizabeth has never appealed to me. It's boring. I like Elsie but the other nns are too twee in my opinion.
Miriam is pretty. It doesn't need a nickname, but Mira is by far the best of your suggestions.
Nina is wonderful.
I dislike Persephone and all its nicknames, sadly.Matthias and Thaddeus are nice. Perseus would never work in real life. They would get the piss taken from cradle to grave.

I wouldn't have thought of Missy as a nn for Artemis, either. I would have gone with Artie. Some people would think of Artemis Fowl, who I've heard is male (I never read the books). But I like it better for a girl.

Artemis: Unsure. Don't like it with the nickname Missy, though.
Cassandra: Cute. Nickname is cute, too.
Cleo: Okay.
Elizabeth: Really, really don't like this name because of how overused it is. Prefer Lizzie or Betsy as a nickname.
Miriam: Okay, though without a nickname.
Nina: Okay.
Persephone: Wouldn't really use it, but it's okay. No nickname, though.Matthias: Prefer Matthew.
Perseus: Not big on this name.
Thaddeus: Good name, though no need for nickname.

Artemis "Missy": I love Artemis, hate Missy. I really don't think this name needs an nn, actually.
Cassandra "Cassie": Love both.
Cleo: I love this name, though I like Kleo better, spelling-wise.
Elizabeth "Elsie, Libby, Lilibeth": I've never heard those nicknames. I love Elizabeth. My favorite nickname is Elsie.
Miriam "Miri, Mim, Mimi, Mira": Another one that I don't think needs a nickname, but if I had to, I'd go with Mira.
Nina: Very cute. A middle name to me.
Persephone "Percy, Sephy, Posey": Love. I'd call her Seph.Matthias (I pronounce it kind of like ma-thy-us): I pronounce it the same way. I love it.
Perseus "Percy" (PJO anyone?): PJO!!! The amount of yes is unimaginable. I love this.
Thaddeus "Thad": I prefer Thad to Thaddeus, actually. All in all, great names! :)

Miriam "Miri, Mim, Mimi, Mira" - Love it, I like Miri as a nn.
Nina - very nice.

Artemis "Missy" - Artemis is okay, a little out there. Missy is really ugly though.
Cassandra "Cassie" - I like Cassandra a lot, but dislike Cassie. I would use Cas as a nickname
Cleo - Okay I guess
Elizabeth "Elsie, Libby, Lilibeth" - Classic, but a bit boring. Why use Lilibeth as a nickname, when it's just as long as the given name? You might as well just call her Elizabeth. Libby is dated. Elsie is okay, but I would go with either Eliza or Elsa
Miriam "Miri, Mim, Mimi, Mira" - Not my cup of tea. I like Miri and Mira as nicknames
Nina - Okay
Persephone "Percy, Sephy, Posey" - Nice name, but there's no good nicknames for itMatthias (I pronounce it kind of like ma-thy-us) - I like it. Dislike Matt as a nickname though
Perseus "Percy" (PJO anyone?) - Yeah...Percy Jackson. Perseus is cool, but would work better as a middle name
Thaddeus "Thad" - Ugly

Honestly, I like them all. Except for Cleo, which I don't dislike; I'm just indifferent to it. Favorites are definitely Artemis, Cassandra, and Thaddeus (although I prefer the nn's Artie and Cass, respectively, for the former two, but eh; you'll get no complaints from me on Missy and Cassie either. They're cute). Miriam is also very sweet. Honestly, you really can't go wrong with any of these names; bonzer list! :)
