Aaron- I find it kind of dull.
Aidan- It's somewhat overdone lately, but I actually find the variations (Braden, Caden etc) to be used more often. I work with kids and there's a wide variety of the Aidan-ish names floating around these days. That being said, I do like the original Aidan.
Alexander**- Handsome, strong classic. A great name, honestly. I think Alex is a great nickname as well. I also like Sasha, though that might not be your style.
Antero- I don't think I've heard of this, and I'm not too keen on it.
Arlo- It's alright. I used to like it more than I do now. Of course he will be associated with Arlo Guthrie.
Asa*- I've never really understood the appeal of this.
Asher- It's not bad. I worry that it's too trendy, but I do like the sound of it.
Benjamin- It's a classic so you can't really go wrong, but personally I'm not a Benjamin fan.
Caelan- This does seem trendy and made-up. I have no idea if it actually is, but that's how it comes across.
Conrad*- It's grown on me. How can you not be cool with a name like Conrad?
Elijah- Used to be one of my favorites, now I still like it but not as much.
Elliot- I like Elliot a lot. It's very friendly and boy-next-door sounding.
Evander*- Love this one. Unexpected but has a lot of familiar sounds. My only concern is that people with enunciate it incorrectly (EV-an-der instead of eh-VAN-der.)
Ezra- I've never cared for it, but for no particular reason.

Wow! This is awesome, thanks so much!!
Alexander: I love Sasha too but most people don't get that Sasha is the nn for Alexander/Alexandra
Antero - it's Finnish. There's so many awesome Finnish names that I wouldn't use (not being Finnish) and sometimes they sneak into my lists ;)
Caelan - not trendy or made up. It's Irish and old :)
Conrad - Exactly :D
Ishmael - nah, don't be sorry. That's why I like it. I'd only use it as a middle name though
Leo - Yay ^_^ We get a lot of compliments on his name
Lysander - Hmm, really?
Quinn - for a girl? That would be interesting
Sorin - doesn't sound like 'sore' if you don't have an American accent ^_~
Tristan - so totally agree about name meanings
Xavier - it's one of my all-time favouites :)
Alouette - I know >_< And I could never use it either but I just love saying it! So it made the list
Anya - yay!
Arwen - that's why I wouldn't use it. But I love the sound so Anwen is a great idea. I didn't know it was a name. It's going on the list :)
Estelle - is it really an old person name? Hum.
Luna - It's going to be Maeve's middle name :)
Mai - Is going to be Tamsin's middle name. It's said like "mine" without the N, not like "may". Apperently in the USA and England it's being used and said "may"
Mali - more than a place name for me but I wouldn't use it now cos of that association
Mari - no it's said differently. MAH-ree not MAIR-ree
Sine - said SHEE-na
Tamsin - cos it it glistens orange and red and is entirely adorable, but it'll age okay as well. Cos it makes me think of Tam Lin, and you can shorten it to Tamsi, and because we just love it, I guess :)
Alexander: I love Sasha too but most people don't get that Sasha is the nn for Alexander/Alexandra

I love Ishmael, I am not sure how usable it is but I love the sound. Despite having a good friend named Sky who I love, I can't see the name as anything but insubstantial and hippy-dippy.
From the rest of your list I like:
Aaron
Aidan - only this spelling, unfortunately, I think it would get lost among all the -aden names.
Alexander
Asa
Asher
Benjamin
Conrad
Elliot
Evander
Ishmael
Julian
Kieran - I prefer Ciaran
Leo
Micah
Michael
Seth
Sorin - I prefer Soren.
Theo
Xavier

Well, I find Avery and Skye way too masculine for girls. As for Shiloh, it's another name for Jesus, so to me giving it to a girl is just wrong, like naming a girl Michael, Emmanuel, Christ or Jesus, however, I knew a guy named Shiloh and it worked on him. And besides which, the correct meaning of the name is masculine, "he to whom it belongs" also translated as "he whose it is".

Overall I like your lists a lot.
Favorites:
Aidan
Alexander
Asher
Benjamin
Evander
Leo
Liam (not with a brother named Leo, but you probably knew that :p)
Luka
Micah
Michael
Mihai (unusable up front in English IMO but I really like the sound)
Adelaide
Adele
Asha if it's AH-sha (not like the word "ash")
Elodie
Emmeline with a -line ending
Genevieve
Iris
Jasmine
Lydia
Maeve
Rose
Seren (wouldn't use it, though, as it's a bit close to sarin)
Least favorites:
Antero
Arlo
Caelan --I know it's a perfectly legitimate name but it looks like a tryndee variant of Cayden
Conrad
Ishmael
Niko as a given name (love it as a nickname)
Quinn
Sorin (like Soren, though)
Theo (see Niko)
Tristan
Xander (see Niko)
Alouette
Andy (fine as a nickname)

Liam - yeahh, I knew that xD
Mihai - wondering why it's unusable up front in English?
Asha - I say it AH-sha :)
Seren - woa never connected this with sarin o_o I wasn't gonna use it cos it sounds so much like Sarah you'd have to correct people all the time.
Niko (and Anya, Xander, Theo) - I like short names as first names mostly so I'm always liking nicknames. But I agree that it's not to best idea to use them which is why I like Enya over Anya. Theo and Xander I couldn't use anyway, not with a Leo Alexander already ;)
Lavender and Marigold - these are guilty pleasures for me too! I wouldn't use 'em except maybe maybe in the middle.
Mali - I just learned about the country just recently but I still can't stop liking the name.
Thanks for commenting ^_^

Actually, We considered using Seren (seriously).
I had a friend in school named Seren and no one ever commented on it's similarity to Sarah or sarin. I heard the reference a lot when were testing out names to friends, but I think that the average person wouldn't make the connection.
Adore Lavender and Marigold. Shot down by DH, but I secretly think they are usable. Especially if you are a Roald Dahl fan (character in Matilda)

Mihai is completely unfamiliar where I am. Nobody's ever heard of it and pronunciation/spelling would be a pain in the neck.
If I lived in Romania it might go on my list, though!

That makes sense. Thank you :)
