Marichelle / Mary-Chelle / Meritxell

I'd use Marichelle. Meritxell must have the same pronounciation, I suppose, but I'd be trying to say the "t" in there.
And Mary-Chelle, no.
And Mary-Chelle, no.
If you're trying to respell Meritxell to make it easier to pronounce, Meritchele is probably the best I can do (as it's not Mary-Shell, has no Mary in it, but is more like murriTCHELL according to the BtN pronunciation). Actually I think it should not be respelled - people should just be taught how Meritxell is pronounced. It's a neat sounding name. Too foreign for me to count it as a fave though. I'd need to know more about its connotations for speakers of the language of origin.
But if you're looking to invent a similar name based on Mary-Shell ... Marichelle or Merichelle seems to be about right. It makes good use of people's knowledge of how to pronounce Michelle.

Hm. I think I'd go Marichelle.
Mary-Chelle makes me wonder if it is "shell" or "chell"
And Meritxell is just a little overwhelming.
In general, the sounds does not really grab me.
