I have an Aunt Maria. I don't know what her mn is though. She is named after my great grandmother who was Maria Estelle and went by Stella. When they came to the US they changed her name to Mary. Because that was her legal name the people at the nursing home called her Mary even though she didn't go by it. I always felt sad because she would get confused and I thought maybe if they called her by her name Stella it would be less confusing.
