I like most florals and Posy is no exception. I do tend to think of it in the GP or middle-only category but I certainly don't mind seeing others use it in real life. From your list, my favorites are...Posy Frances
Posy Ellen
Posy Elspeth
Posy Thomasine
Posy AlexandraSome other ideas (please forgive any repeats; I've not read your other replies)...Posy Caroline
Posy Colette
Posy Eudora
Posy Gretchen
Posy Moira
Posy Nanette
Posy Wilhelmina
Posy Winifred

I have a thing for floral names, so Posy is always going to be hovering somewhere around my list either as a GP first name or a cutesy middle. It's just how it is.Thanks for the suggestions!Posy Nanette would be cute for a doll and I love Posy Winifred.

I am really rather fond of Posy ^_^ Probably because of Ballet Shoes (the book, not that awful movie of it).If it was on my list, though, it would be a GP too. It's so very childish. And there's a danger of it really NOT fitting the person with the name... to some, having to say their name was Posy would be a total embarrassment.
Have you thought if you ever did get the chance to use it that it could be a nickname for something? Josephine nn Posy? That way she'd have something to fall back on if she needed...
(This was actually someone else's suggestion a while back but I forget who.)From your list I like:
Posy Elspeth
Posy Marian
Posy Adeline
Posy Catherine
Posy FrancesDislike:
Posy Regina - though to be fair this is only because Regina makes me feel illPosy Cordelia - Cordelia is so much like cordial that this sounds like a flower-flavoured drink. Like elderflower cordial.Posy Jemima - two babyish name is way too much Posy Tamsin - much as I (obviously) love Tamsin, the colours in this clash horribly >_<The others are okay. I don't have much opinion either way.

That's actually why the name isn't on my list. Other than being cutesy which I personally don't mind, I'd worry that maybe she would be very large and you just can't be large and be named Posy. It defies everything. Which, after saying that, makes me question myself and my perceptions of appearances and names. Hm.I like the idea of Josephine as a full name for Posy and it's been on my list before. It just doesn't fit my tastes very well at the moment. Josephine keeps ending up in the middle since I can't think of an amazing middle name for it.Thanks!

No, I agree. You just can't be large and be named Posy. It would be awful. You also couldn't be drippy, pessimistic and depressive. I think most people have certain perceptions of appearance that go with names, tbh. I know that I do. Not for all names; an Elizabeth could be anyone. But names like Posy, Scarlet, Angel, Willow, Linnet, Sol... names like that, for me they only suit a certain kind of person and would be utterly awful on other kinds.ETA: Middles for Josephine are difficult... and we were considering Josephine as a mn for one of our girls. I like both Josephine Grace and Josephine Rose, but I know lots of people object to those here.
I also love Josephine Autumn and (weirdly for me) Josephine Troy.

I love Posy. I'd use it in a heartbeat if given the opportunity to but for right now she's on my GP list. However, between you and me, I think a few combos might sneak over onto my regular list eventually. lolThanks!

Posy Tabitha
Posy CordeliaOk, quick story here lol My sister's mn is Rose, and growing up one of her nicknames was Rosy Posy, or sometimes just Posy. My name is Tabitha, and her daughter's name is Cordelia. So, yeah, I see those combos and I think they work together because I hear them so often from my mom hahaha Well, Posy and Tabitha more often than Posy and Cordelia, since Cordy was just born a few weeks ago but still! I also like these:Posy Martha - not so much a fan of Martha, but I think it pairs well with Posy
Posy Catherine
Posy Estella - I think Posy Estelle is prettier. It's like if Jane Austen wrote in the 1920s, that would totally be a name I'd expect in one of her books haha
Posy Agatha - ditto!
Posy Eleanor
Posy Frances - this is too adorable
Posy Theodora - I think it sounds better the other way around, but it's cute
Posy Adeline
Posy Thomasin(e)
Posy Margaret
Posy Eloise
Posy Marian
Posy Alexandra
Posy Theresa

You all have great names! Posy Estelle does sound better than Posy Estella. I typically prefer Estella so Estelle doesn't even come to mind. Thanks!

I feel like Posy is so whimsical that I really like to see a classic name in the middle.Posy Catherine is my favorite, just because I think Catherine goes well with most names in the middle spot.I also like Posy Margaret, Posy Elizabeth, & Posy Alexandra.
