Re: What do you think of these?
Artemis - I don't personally like it, but I would still be able to appreciate someone else using it. Missy, seems like a bit of a copout for a nickname on such a gutsy strong name. I'd call her Artie or Temis. If you want a girly nn though, Missy works, as would Temmy/Tammy. Oo, Timmy would be cute too.Cassandra - Too frilly for my liking, but I like the Cass part. I've always like Cassia. The nicknames Cass and Cassie are both fine. Sandra or Candra would work too.Cleo - Why do I only think of a cat name when I hear this?Elizabeth - A mite uninteresting, but a fine name. Lilibeth is a great nickname. And the nickname possibilities are pretty endless: Liz, Lizzie, Lizbeth, Elsie, Elsa, Elsabeth, Eliza, Beth, Bethy, Betty, Libby...Miriam - Delightful. Wonderful. So underused! Miri is my favourite nickname, but Mia would also be really good.Nina - I really don't like it. It feels too nicknamey too me, plus old-ladyish and childish at the same time. Weird.Persephone - Kind of over-the-top, but that's okay. Love Percy and Sephy as nicknames. Seph? Sepho? Matthias - oo, I really don't like that pronunciation. Perseus - Again, a bit over-the-top, but that's not a bad thing as long as the namer is aware of it and prepared for comments. :) Percy makes Perseus much more accessible.Thaddeus - Yes. Yes, yes, yes. Awesome. Thad is good, but how about Tadpole for when he's little?! Three boys nappin', one mama namenerdin'
