need help with name ideas
well I'm due in mid December, and my husband and I are really starting to freak out about names. We really haven't found the one yet. We have found out that we are expecting a boy!
We already have a little girl, her name is Miranda. Can you please offer some suggestions that you think may suit our style?
Our current boy list is Callum, Damien, Reuben, Gareth, Edward & Duncan.
Out of these my favourite is probably Reuben, but I've been having doubts about it as it is a biblical name and my husband and I are not very religious. I think my husband's favourite is Duncan, but to me it kind of reminds me of the word "dunking" like dunking biscuits in hot milk, I don't know if I can get past the association!
Names that I like but my husband doesn't like: Sebastian, Tristan, Ivan, Ronan, Casper, Dean.
Names my husband likes that I don't: Dante (there's more but I never wrote those down )
Some other names we liked but we crossed them off our list for various reasons: Desmond, Rasmus, Kai, ArmandWe got really good feedback for our daughter's name, people still comment on how beautiful & unusual it is, which I like. I wish I could find a "male equivalent" to Miranda - something unusual but not unheard of or bizarre, sounds nice, has a classic appeal. (Miranda is very uncommon in Australia, I think it's a lot more common in the US) So far we've only had negative feedback on our male names. So, any comments/suggestions? Thanks in advance xox

Miranda and Reuben sound great together. I really like the names from you list
Reuben
Sebastian
Tristan
Ronan
Casper
I don't think it matters that Reuben is a biblical name even if you are not religious. John, Luke, David, Matthew, Mark, Jacob, etc are biblical names and are used a lot by people who are not religious. Reuben is not even a main character. I could see it being a bigger deal if it were Ezekiel or Malachi. Reuben is more versatile than those names.

Sebastian and Tristan are among my favorite names. It's a shame your husband doesn't like them. :(
(Sebastian is a character in The Tempest as well [as Miranda]) ;)I think Duncan and Miranda work well together. It's not my favorite name, but I was immediately drawn to it's... sound.I love most of your names- Callum especially- but I don't know if they would all fit in with Miranda. You have a good list, though. More original than some. :D

Reuben gets my vote and as another Aussie I can tell you that it's not common at all. Miranda and Reuben make a nice sib set imo.
