[Opinions] Linus
Hi allwell - we have finally found a boys name we both really like, instead of one of us being a bit ho-hum.
I would love some opinions on the name Linus Raymond PeterI am crazy about it, and i think Iris, Eli, Pearl and Linus sound adorable together.
But i would love opinions - i think i prefer itto the others we had (Gregor and Hector)Love Clara( I see there is another Clara posting on here so i will change to Clarahj to avoid confusion - when i remember)

I adore Linus, and I do think he definitely sounds like a brother to your other kids. I worry a bit about the similarity between Iris and Linus in sound. But if you can yell it across the house without everyone being confused, you should be ok. :b Linus Raymond Peter is a wonderful combo, btw. And I also like Linus better than Gregor and Hector. :)

I love Linus, but I find it to be a bit too similar to Iris in sound.

Great sibset, imo. I do picture the peanuts character, though. Of course Linus is my favorite peanuts character, so it's not all bad, lol. For the people that do picture "that" Linus, though, I think it would only be temporary. Pretty soon, your son would be Linus instead of the cartoon character.

I love Linus. It's a favourite of mine. It suits your other children's names too.

I adore the name Linus, and I think it's a shame that no one uses it (presumably because of the Peanuts association). I loe Iris, Eli, Pearl, and Linus as a sibset.

Linus is all right. I immediately picture Linus from the Peanuts, with his million-dollar vocabulary, his blanket and his Great Pumpkin. lolI don't think Linus and Iris go well at all, they are much too similar in sound.

Iris and Linus are way too close for siblings IMO.I am really not a fan of the name Linus but there is really no good reason for it. It just makes me think of a weedy awkward boy. So that aside (because as I said, it is not a good reason for not using the name), the flow is good and I like Raymond and Peter a lot.I would personally prefer Hector Raymond Peter though. It seems to have more strength and character to it.

ditto, butThat is exactly my thoughts on Linus, but I agree that that's no reason for you not to use the name.
I'm also not crazy about Raymond, but I love Peter. It is one of my favorite names of all time, and strikes me as very courageous and loyal.
