Geordie - how English!
I'm a complete fan of George. There have been so many wonderful bearers of the name that I love to see it on a child. Then again, I may be biased for it!
My all time favourite combination has to be William George and - of all the coincidences - my boyfriend's surname is Lovell so our future son would be: William George Lovell. Pretty dang close!
Other than famous Georges I don't know too many. My grandfather (mid 60s) and a great-uncle (early 60s) have the name. I also know an 18-year-old George, a 50-something George and a 2-year-old George. It translates well across ages IMO but does seem more popular with older men. Strangely enough, Georgia/Georgina/Georgiana in my experience tends to be more popular amongst younger people like myself.
