[Opinions] Re: Elliot and Raquel
in reply to a message by Adina
Elliott/ Elliot is my younger sister's favorite name for a daughter if she is ever able to have one.The spelling Elliot feels less masculine than the spelling Elliott.Even though Ellie is so popular I still love it as a nickname, although I prefer Nellie.Truthfully there are so many awesome female El- names, just sooo many that I would never choose Elliot for a daughter when I could instead choose:Eloise
Eloisa
Elise
Elisa
Elsa
Elda
Elva
Elma
Elena
Elaine
Elaina
Eliana
Eleanor
Elenora
Elfrieda
Elfreda - is this pronounced the same as Elfrida/ Elfrieda?
Elspeth
Elowen
ElodieI have met many Raquel's around my age, not as many Raquel's as Rachel's but a good number of them. I was actually fairly close to two of them. They are both pretty girls who have big smiles and were generally well liked by everyone in middle school. One is outdoorsy and the other one likes anime. I have never loved the name Raquel but I've always liked it. I like Raquel about as much as Rachael/ Rachel even though Rachel is the name of my favorite cousin.I am uncertain if you are asking if they work well as siblings. I think they do work as siblings although I'd prefer if Elliot was the name of a brother in the sibset but even as the name of a sister they work. I agree with LiaMaria that I prefer Eliette for a girl, and imo Eliotte also works.
