Gwendoln - with Gwen & Wendy as n/n's interchangeably. Gwendolyn / Gwendolen Monique, perhaps?I'm happy for any namee to spell his or her name however s/he prefers. There are too many alphabets, too many pronunciation preferences &/or diphthong or accent (preferences) for one version to serve as absolute, ubiquitous standard.

I like Gwendolen, it's fun. Though still not common, I've seen Gwendolyn more often, but I prefer Gwendolen. That said, I actually prefer Gwendoline to both.

I used to really dislike Gwendolyn, I thought it sounded like a squeaky old door. But today I think it's rather pretty. I prefer Gwendolen or Gwendoline to Gwendolyn, though.
I have seen the variant Wendoline and I think it's rather pretty, too.
I'm not very fond of Gwen, but I can't come up with any good nn's for Gwendolen, actually. Dolly? Childish. Len? Masculine.
Gwenna, perhaps. Combos:
Gwendolen Catherine
Gwendolen Marie
Gwendolen Christine
Gwendolen Kate
Gwendolen Emma
Gwendolen Rosabeth

Gwendolyn Violet
Gwendolyn Joy
Gwendolyn Eliza
Gwendolyn Fae
Gwendolyn Daphne
Gwendolyn AuroraGwen is my favorite nick name, but Wendy would be cute during childhood.

I absolutely love it, it's in my top ten. I prefer the Gwendolen spelling, as it's the original, and it keeps it distant from all those -lyn names like Oaklyn and Raelyn etc.I would use the nickname Gwen, which I adore, Gwen is such a sweet name. I wouldn't be against Wendy or Dolly either though. My favourite combos are:Gwendolen Mary
Gwendolen Ivy
Gwendolen Frances
Gwendolen Mabel
Gwendolen Iris
Gwendolen Pearl
Gwendolen Lucy
Gwendolen Willow
Gwendolen Rosemary

I had a wonderful Auntie Gwen who loved and spoiled me, and I still don’t like it. It’s that “gw” sound. I just can’t stand it.

Yes. I like the cadence of it, and the meaning and origin are interesting enough. It used to be one of my favorites, but now I'm a little bored with it. Either spelling. I feel like the e looks more formal/proper/classic while the y adds some dimension visually and is slightly 70s/retro.Gwen. Gwendolen Iris. Gwendolen Iris Octavia. Gwendolen Octavia.

I prefer the spelling Gwendolyn simply because it’s more common and less likely to be misspelled. Gwendolen is good, too. Gwen is the obvious nickname, and it works imo. My favorite combo would probably be Gwendolyn / Gwendolen Enid.
