[Opinions] Lara & Mara
Do you like either of these names? **Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

Laura is one of my very favourite names, so Lara sounds odd and looks unfinished.I knew a very nice Mara at school, but in spite of that, it looks like an unfinished version of Maria. Mary would be my first choice, but better Mara than Lara.

Like them both, would possibly use them (not together) though they're not actual favorites.

I feel like they have such different vibes, Mara has beachy chill energy while Lara is studious and more conforming. idk I like Mara more

Lara is ok

I like both.
Lara seems a little dated to me, like Larisa is. Mara seems rare, so it's a little more interesting to me.
I don't care about the meaning of Mara. To me it doesn't have to be a Biblical name anyway. It could as well be a form of Maura or Maria.
I say both with the same ar sound as in "far."

I usually like biblical names but I much prefer Lara.

Mara is so much nicer. I don't know why it's not used more.

I LOVE both of them, especially Mara, which is easily one of my top favorites. If it wasn't for my niece 'Clara', I would definitely consider using it.

Hi !!!!!Mara 6/10 old-fave of mine. I much prefer Tamara that has the same sound but a better meaning.Lara* 9/10 I like it because of the simple look but multiple meanings.

I really like Mara despite the fact that it means "bitter." Lara is okay, but I prefer Laura, which makes the pronunciation more clear.

I like both of them a lot, Mara especially.

No, because they are so hard to know how to pronounce. I've known Lara to be pronounced like Laura and like Lair-a. And that goes for Mara.
