[Opinions] Name a daughter? (B)

It didn't occur to me until now, I don't like any girl names starting with B.

B is tough, the only names on my PNL that start with B are experimental names I like to be reminded of, like Blanchefleur and Bertille. I don't think I can decisively "Name a daughter" but I can experiment.Bertille is kind of nice. And Bertie/Birdie is a cute nickname.Blair is more likely for me, for personal reasons, but it's also a little bit grotesquely on-the-nose for those reasons (the name of my undergraduate school, which I was more obsessed with than most)Blair Candelaria
Blair Vivienne
??
Bertille Susannah
Bertille Maxime
??
And I'm gonna say Benjamina too because Benji is maybe sort of cute for a girl and if that doesn't work you can call her Mimi or Minnie.
Benjamina Dorothy
Benjamina Odette
Benjamina Zara

Been there, done that! Beatrice Elizabeth Anne: Beatrice after my mother, Elizabeth after DH's stepmother and Anne after my paternal grandmother and therefore also me. QED. I could happily use Barbara; I've always liked it, but my daughter collapses in fits of giggles at the thought. No doubt its time has not come again yet. But I can imagine having a Barbara daughter: Barbara Lucy Jean would please me.

I have always liked your daughter's name. Beatrice Elizabeth Anne just goes well! Has a great flow to it.I really don't like the feel or sound of Barbara Lucy Jean! Sorry I just don't!
vote up1
Oh yes I forgot about Barbara.I've said it on here but I know a Barbara my age, and I knew her 10 years ago so we were young lol, and she was strikingly beautiful with long curly Renaissance hair, and she completely shifted my perception of the name from "old lady" to "timeless and like totally dignified yo"

Brigitta Lux “Birdie” or Brenna Delphine

I like Brigitta Lux and Brenna Delphine. I think I would go with the NN Gigi or Bri for Brigitta though. I just don't like Birdie sorry! Great combos though.

Oh I like Brigitta Lux, Birdie is cute

Typically speaking, B is one of my lesser favorite initials, at least in terms of first names. There is only a small handful I'd consider in that spot. I definitely am more open to Bs for the middle though. But for firsts on girls mainly I'd only consider Beatrix or Brigitta. So today I think I'll say: Brigitta Julienne Rose
Or also possibly:
Brigitta Julienne
Brigitta Rose
Brigitta Juniper
Brigitta Everild
Brigitta Mabel
Brigitta Mavis
Brigitta Celestine
Brigitta Peridot
Brigitta Elvira
Brigitta Mirabelle
Brigitta Georgianne
Brigitta Rosalind
Brigitta Luna Belle
Brigitta Isabelle
Brigitta Kaye

Brigitta Everild is so pretty. (I'm biased, of course, cause I'm enamoured of Everild)And I dkw, but Brigitta Luna Belle got my attention... It has a nice ring to it, I guess.

Lol, Luna Belle does sound a bit like a children's show character I suppose but I kind of like it too
vote up2
Yeah, B names are one of my least favorite too! Honestly, I think I really only love the name Briseis for a girl. If push came to shove, I would use Brionna and Briar though.
vote up1
I like Briar too but only when cupped with Rose like sleeping beauty. Briar feels so harsh and thorny without it's Rose imo. But Briar Rose feels like the quintessential cottagecore name.
vote up2
I like the combo Briar Rose also! But most people pair it with Rose which makes it a little too common for my taste!
vote up1
Hmm not many B names I like, right now it's Briseida Colette "Breezy"
vote up2
Briseida has an attractive look and sound to it. I just prefer Briseis.

Beatrix just reminds me too much of Beatrix Potter. Sorry!
vote up1
But Beatrix Potter is a good association I thought? Lmao! Unless there is something about her I do not know about aside from Peter Rabbit.
vote up1
Your right! It is a good association. Don't get me wrong I like the name. It just makes me think of the Beatrix Potter books!
