I don't really like it exactly, but I *love* the nickname
Noll, which is the only thing that's warmed me up to it at all.
Oliver doesn't remind me of the obvious 'olives,' but rather it brings to mind a kind of brownish puce sort of color, like oliver ought to be the name of something kind of dogfood-ish. :-/ Don't ask why, but that's how it feels to me.
So personally I don't like it, but for its classic appeal and its lack of enormous popularity I can appreciate it and respect people using it. I think
Oliver and
Annie go together quite well as a sibset; it's kind of sweet and nice, IMO. I think
Oliver will go well with any middle name with a classic sort of feel, like:
Oliver WilliamOliver ThomasOliver CharlesOliver JeremiahOliver DanielOliver TheodoreOliver HowardOliver Lawrence
