[Opinions] Four
I met a kid with this name yesterday. He was 3-5 years old, I think. I was so curious but unfortunately missed the chance to ask his parents about the name.
What do you guys think?

I'm very sorry, but I am not a fan of using numbers as names.
I know of a child called Olivia Twenty Dahl (1955-1962) who got her first name after the character in Twelfth Night and her middle name from the fact that her father only had $20 in his pocket when he first saw her in the hospital. An author Jung Chang says that her great grandmother was simply known as daughter number two and never had a name.
If Four is this little boy’s name though and not his age it is going to cause a lot of confusion when people first meet him though they will get used to it. I really don’t like it though.

I love Twelfth Night! I'm actually acting in it right now :). Olivia is a nice choice, but the middle name is a little odd.
In Asian cultures, it was very common to name a child "daughter" and then their birth order. My grandmother's name is "Third daughter."

That is true. It would have given more context. My mom was given an actual name and she is much more happy and successful. Although, funny enough, my mom is also the third daughter 😂.
As far as number names go, I like Seven the most because it rhymes with Kevin, Levin, Bevin, Devin, etc. Eleven is my 2nd favorite, and Five is third. The other numbers are harder for me to hear as human names.
I also think about Four from Battle for Dream Island, which most people haven't heard of, but long story short: strange character.

uhh is that supposed to be futuristic like elon's children? That's the vibe I get from it. I'm so sorry to the kid, I hope he will change it in future for something he likes.
I thought the post title was referring to a sibset. Guess I was awfully wrong.
Sheesh, it's a terrible name. The sound is dull as well.

There was a character called Four in that Divergent series. Maybe the parents are big fans...?
Maybe the kid was making the name up for himself? Or thought you were asking how old he was??
Four is not what I'd pick if I had to use a number for a name. It is definitely intriguing, I wanna know why now too!

Awful. Like he was the fourth kid and his parents couldn't even be bothered.
Also, yell his name in a crowd and people look for a golf ball to come flying at them.

I thought that about it being yelled, too. I'd have a similar issue with Timber.
I think it's unfortunate. It's not even a name. I sincerely hope it's just a non-name related nickname.
For example I have a niece named Sylvia, but her parents, mainly the mother, my sister, calls her "silly" a lot of times because when she was really young she'd would be silly a lot and I guess the non-conventional nickname just stuck.
Four makes me think that maybe he's the 4th child, but then why give him or his siblings numbers even if they are just playful nicknames? It just seems tasteless. Something about naming a kid after a number just feels very wrong.

It was definitely Four, and I don't believe it's a NN. It was on his nametag and, where I work, the nametags are required to have the full first name on them.
I read Divergent a while back, but I forgot about Four. That could be it.
Agreed about "for"

Quite an unfortunate name. I feel sorry for that kid.
