I always wanted a pet named Harper, but that’s what my cousin named her daughter so that’s a bit off the table. I also like Madison, Emma, Millie, Clover, Onyx, Zane, Rex, and Jett.
I’ve actually never met a dog named Zane but I think it sounds nice! It would be awkward to name a pet after a family member’s child!
One of these is my foster son's (nick)name, and I've never thought of it as a dog name, so it's kind of funny to see it up there. Anyway, from your list I'd consider Setter, Butch, Buster, Fifi and Blue dog names. My office is in the same building as a vet practice, so I hear quite a few pet names. One I definitely associate with pets (cats and dogs) is Luna. It's popular for girls where I live, but the amount of pets I've come across named Luna is unreal.
That’s interesting that you say one of them you’d never thought of as a dog name! You must have heard them all being so close to a vet office!
There are several ones on your list that I've never heard as a dog name, one of them just stood out more because it's my foster son's name. I don't live in an English speaking country though, so that also explains why some of these aren't often used as dog names here / I haven't heard them on a dog.

This list is actually a great list for underrated pet names. I would love a pet named Momo or Kipling. Moxie is also a name I have heard on a pet once and thought it was adorable.

Bella and Coco are awesome for girls! Yoshi is really cute for a boy!
I met a millenial aged man who was not Japanese but called himself Yoshi because he loved the video games. It kind of ruined the name for me on a person sadly.
Fido
Rufus
Buster
Beckett
Duke
Max (always wanted a dog named Max)
Teddy
Bentley
Murphy
Brodie
Gus
Buddy
Lucky
Otis

Roxie
Pixie

Sadie
Daisy

Aspen
Coco

Precious
Baby

Lulu
Luna

Bella
Elsa

The only ones I disagree with are Aspen and Beckett, probably because I knew humans with those names but now I can picture Aspen being a very cute name for an Aussie or the like!
Loki will always be a great dog name in my mind and it surprises me it’s on the rise for a human name!
lol for me Loki is totally a black cat's name, with how mischievous its namesake is :pBut yeah it's crazy how it's trending for pets and people at the same time
Surprising numbers of dogs, where I live anyway, are named Daisy. Which amuses me, because it's the nickname for my friend Desiree.
I’ve never heard Daisy as a nn for Desiree but I love the idea.
My friend went to a playschool/nursery school/kindergarten when she was about 4. There were trained teachers, and also working women who prepared meals, cleaned up, helped with toilet training ... no training required. And one of them had never heard the name Desiree, and the closest she could get was Daisy-Ray: that made sense to her, and my buddy tolerated it and it somehow stuck!
