Help[Opinions] Cecilia and Susannah

I'm not sure how I feel about Cecilia. (Other than I love the song). I much prefer Celia, but I think Cecilia Truth has a nice ring to it. As for Susannah: Again, the song sticks in my head. (Oh Susannah, don't you cry for me). It would be a neat way of honoring my mother, but it seems slightly sappy.
I really want strong female names for my daughters - ie Margaret, Sylvia, Helen. Liora is the only slightly frilly name I can stand. So do you think that Cecilia and Susannah are strong names? Do you picture a strong woman with them?

I think these are strong names with history. They don't seem frilly or fluffy to me. In Texas history, Susannah Dickinson was one of the survivors of the Alamo. So that's what I think of when I hear the name. Saint Cecilia was executed as a result of her refusal to worship Roman gods. Pretty strong if you ask me.

I think they're both very strong names, but I agree I much prefer Celia. Cecilia can be hard to pronounce for some people (my younger sister has a hard time dealing with the double "s" sounds in this name. She sounds just like a snake hissing "sssssissss-ssssiilll-ee-a". Hopefully she'll grow out of it or something). And I think Celia Truth sounds better than Cecilia Truth.

I think of St. Cecilia and the disciple Susannah when I hear them. So yes, I see strength in them. :) I like both, though I prefer Suzannah to Susannah.
Both of them are great, and they'd sound fabulous with Margaret-Sylvia-Helen-Liora-etc, IMO.

They sound very strong to me...
But so help me, the "cilia" in Cecilia makes me flashback to my freshman Biology class. Ickickick. It's why I prefer Cecelia.
But I'm also apparently the only person who is bothered by this, so you probably don't have to worry. ;-)
I personally prefer Susannah over Cecilia, but both are great. And Cecilia Truth sounds like a Suffragist to me, so it gets my stamp of approval. :D
