Delilah vs. Tallulah
I have recently come to love both of these names. Which do you prefer, and why? Any combos?I think I prefer Delilah. It seems more feminine, and a little bit classier too. I like the combo Delilah Rose - I know that Rose is considered to be a "filler" MN, but it's a family name that's really important to me.

Tallulah - no bad Biblical associations :b

I like both, especially Delilah pronounced without the long 'i' sound. Still, Delilah has such baggage that I'd go with Tallulah. OTOH, I went to school with a girl named Delilah. She had a five-syllable Italian surname and the name really worked for her.

I prefer Tallulah, definitely. Delilah has negative connotations, because of "Samson and Delilah" in the Bible, so that puts me off the name.

I like Delilah. Its unusual, lovely, and has an old-fashioned feel, especially with the middle name Rose. Tallulah doesn't really do anything for me.:)Danielle

I used to love both, but Tallulah as lost some of its appeal to me recently, and Delilah has become even more appealing. The "D" sound is a personal favourite in girls names at the moment. The biblical associations of Delilah don't bother me. Delilah Rose is delightful, even if I don't usually care for Rose.Edited because I momentarily forgot how to type.

I really like both names, but Tallulah is definately my choice. I think that either name with Rose as mn is way to frilly, but I understand the connection and it flows well. I'm pretty bad at mn's, but maybe:
Delilah Marie (also filler I guess)
Delilah Marielle
Delilah Colette
Delilah Celeste
Delilah RochelleTalulla Brigid (I feel it's more appropriate to use the similar Irish variation with the Irish mn. :) )
Tallulah Josephine
Tallulah Eloise
Tallulah Francine (or any -een name really)

Delilah! So many great associations I have with Delilah. Tallulah's nice and all, but it's never really drawn me in - too frilly for my tastes. In fact, a lot of the prissy-est girls in my school have pets named Tallulah, and I think that's why I have that association. So, Delilah!

TallulahDelilah always sounded kind of dark to me. I like Delia though

DelilahI actually love filler names....not because I can't think of anything better, but because they're always beautiful and go nicely. Delilah Rose is beautiful.

I think Delilah does sound more feminine and classy, and I really dislike Tallulah, but if I was really to pick one to name a child, I would definitely say Tallulah. The associations of Delilah are way too much for me.

I prefer Tallulah (actually, I prefer Talulla). To me, Delilah has such a sultry and rapacious image, if feels inappropriate on both little girls and CEOs.

I prefer Delilah very much over Tallulah. Tallulah is a kind of tacky name,.I hate when people consider a name to be a "filler" name. I think Rose is very simple and sophisticated! Delilah Rose is beautiful, and very classy.Delilah Catherine or Katherine...
It's hard to think of more, because I like Delilah Rose just fine.
