Maria
I always thought it was boring but now I really like it. It's so pretty and charming. WDYT ? Do you prefer Mary or Maria ? Marie ? Is it popular where you live ? It's still in the top 100. I have only ever met one, a girl named Maria Sophie so I never thought it was popular and was surprised to see it so high on the popularity chart.

Personally, I don't really like the name "Mary"; even though it's my middle name and I live in a mostly Christian community. The name "Maria" sounds quite nice, though.

I like it too!I just started liking it. It actually is really pretty, and I like it a lot better than Marie, Mary, etc. I would have started loving it earlier, but I have trouble getting along with the Maria I know sometimes.

My favourite is Maria, with Marie being a common mn choice in Australia.

I love each of those, but Maria is my favorite and it is the one I would use. It is still popular in my area, but then there is a pretty large Hispanic population here, so it's pretty normal. Mary, Maria, and Marie fit very well with so many middle names.

Excellent!I slightly preefer Marie, as that is a family name, but Maria is really spunky too.I used to babysit a girl called Maria. I wish I had asked her her middle name now :-D She had a brother called Simon.

It's the best female name everclosely followed by Mary, Minerva, and Cecilia :DThe reason it's on the top 100 is because of the growing Spanish speaking proportion of the populationIt is the singular best female name to exist ever.

I saw someone named Margaret Minerva the other day (in my local newspaper). I thought you might want to know that. There was also a Gertrude Eva and a Claudia Helen.

Love it!I love Maria! It is much more enchanting to me than Mary and Marie. I'm disappointed because my mother considered naming me Maria because she loves 'The Sound of Music', but eventually settled on Hannah. :(
It just entered in the top 100 last year in the UK. The only Maria I've ever met was Spanish.
Two thumbs up!

I love it!Always have. It isn't overused, imo, but it's well-known and it works on somebody of any age.

I rather like Maria the best, though Marie would definitely be second.I had a childhood friend named Laura Marie, though it was so very long ago I remember rather little about her.
